Kimbra with Gotye
I absolutely love watching the Grammys for the glitz and glamour that the music industry brings forward. The best dressed goes to Kimbra who accompanied Gotye to accept two Grammy Awards for her feature in Somebody That I Used To Know. Kimbra wore an incredible creation by Perth designer Jaime Lee Major, who put more than 100 "man-hours" into creating this gown. Made with layers of sheer material and embellishments of diamantes and over two kilograms of pearls, this masterpiece had a mermaid feel to it, which Major said kept up with Kimbra's quirky dress sense.
This wasn't the only gown that Perth designer created for Kimbra. Kimbra donned two of Mayor's creations for her appearance at the ARIAs - a gold lace, Swarovski encrusted full length dress for her performance and a lilac and gold mini for her award acceptance. Each dress took more than a month to make and were estimated being worth $6,000 each.
